Copies of documents and notes made by or for mr. S. Gibson and relating to Oxford Binders, Stationers, and Printers, 1501-1780. This material was used by him for his Early Oxford Bindings (1903) and Abstracts from Wills of Oxford binders, etc., to 1638 (1907).
At fol. 84 is a set of notes from Balliol records about binders 1553-9, 1662-1706: at fol. 133b a valuable conspectus of the lessees of nos. 96-101 High St. (opposite St. Mary's Church), 1549-1560, from Oriel documents: and at fol. 147 much from Bodleian chaining accounts 1676-1780.
Added to it: as fols. 161-76, transcripts of some invoices from London booksellers to Thomas Huggins, bookseller in Oxford, A.D. 1620-1.
