Biographical / Historical
Frank J. Walker was born in 1925. He served in the Royal Air Force, first based in Rye in Southern England, before being posted to Hong Kong in 1955. He was a joint founder of the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, together with Arthur St. George Walton and J.H. Sergeant, in 1957. He also helped create the Cyprus Ornithological Society in 1957, and founded the Royal Air Force Ornithological Society in 1965. He died in Malta in 2016.
