Abstract
Logbooks of St. Agnes Bird Observatory.
Biographical / Historical
The Isles of Scilly, off the Cornish coast, are a well-known birding location in Britain. Particularly from the late 1950s and early 1960s, St. Agnes, the southernmost populated island of the Isles of Scilly, became a destination for birdwatchers, who found that the spring and autumn migrations were excellent times to see rare birds. Many birdwatchers stayed in one of the self-catering buildings on St. Agnes, which became known as the St. Agnes Observatory.
