A transcript of Translations and Poems by lord Thomas Fairfax, the Parliamentary general, with many corrections in the author's hand. The volume contains roughly the same pieces as Bodl. MS. Add. A. 120, but in a different order and in an earlier form. The chief part is an English poetical version of the Psalter and Canticles, followed by poems of many kinds, with an address from the transcriber, who appears to be Henry Fairfax, 4th lord Fairfax, first cousin of the author, and who supplies a title 'An Inofficious Collection and Transcript of these ensuinge Rough Draughts--Part of the Recreations and Solitudes in a sedentary life ... by TF ...'.

The Appendix (pp. 469-511) is in the same hand, and contains some 'Remembrances' of the 1st lord Fairfax's public services (p. 469), a list of treatises by him (p. 473), some translations of psalms by the 2nd lord Fairfax (p. 475), some Fairfax epitaphs (pp. 492, 495), etc. P. 493 may be in the general's hand (Epitaphs on lady Barbara Bellairs).
