Eight letters from the duke of Wellington, chancellor of the University of Oxford, to the vice-chancellor (dr. F. C. Plumptre), 1849-52, on matters of university business, including copies by the duke of two letters to him from lord John Russell, Aug. 7 and 20, 1850 (fols. 15, 17), about proposed members of the new University Commission. A signature is cut off on fol. 4. At fol. 21 is a short note from dr. M. J. Routh, Jan. 4, 1851.
