Oxford pieces, chiefly Christ Church exercises in Latin prose and verse, many addressed to dr. Henry Aldrich as sub-dean and dean of the House: he was dean from 1689 to 1711. Among them are:

  1. P. 3. a Latin poem on R. Southwell's house at King's Weston in Gloucestershire
  2. P. 17. 'Jack Philip's Ode to Mr. [Henry] St. Johns, thanking him for a present of sack and tobacco' (beg. 'O qui recisæ')
  3. Pp. 53, 81, 147. formal complimentary letters to the dean by Noel Broxholme, Charles Fairfax, Matthew Skinner, Thomas Bromley (in verse), James Harrington
  4. Pp. 61. Latin poem on an organ, June 2, 1696 beg. 'Artificem dextram')
  5. Pp. 95, 149. seven Latin poems by Anthony Alsop, one on the death of James Harrington of Ch. Ch. (p. 109, cf. 121, G. Adams's similar ode)
  6. Pp. 117, 131. poems by Th. Brown, G. Villiers, etc.
