Oxford pieces, chiefly Christ Church exercises in Latin prose and verse, many addressed to dr. Henry Aldrich as sub-dean and dean of the House: he was dean from 1689 to 1711. Among them are:
- P. 3. a Latin poem on R. Southwell's house at King's Weston in Gloucestershire
- P. 17. 'Jack Philip's Ode to Mr. [Henry] St. Johns, thanking him for a present of sack and tobacco' (beg. 'O qui recisæ')
- Pp. 53, 81, 147. formal complimentary letters to the dean by Noel Broxholme, Charles Fairfax, Matthew Skinner, Thomas Bromley (in verse), James Harrington
- Pp. 61. Latin poem on an organ, June 2, 1696 beg. 'Artificem dextram')
- Pp. 95, 149. seven Latin poems by Anthony Alsop, one on the death of James Harrington of Ch. Ch. (p. 109, cf. 121, G. Adams's similar ode)
- Pp. 117, 131. poems by Th. Brown, G. Villiers, etc.
