Some notes about, and copies of, Oxford and Oxfordshire jeux d'esprit, etc., chiefly by the rev. Edward Marshall: among them are:

  1. 'A legend of the Illumination' at Oxford, on the occasion of the Queen's Marriage, Feb. 10, 1840, in which C. P. Eden played a part, in verse (fol. 3)
  2. Verses about a lithographed satire on dr. Buckland, depicted as crawling into a cave (fol. 9)
  3. Papers relating to the 'North Aston Theatre' 1776 (fols. 17, 30)
  4. There are also notes about the Islip font now at Middleton Stoney (fol. 7)
  5. The rev. R. G. Macmullen's expenses in 1844 (fol. 13)
  6. Keble's poem on St. John the Baptist (fol. 19, cf. 21)
