Biographical / Historical

Thomas Carte (1686-1754) was a historian. Edmund Malone (1741-1812) was a critic and author. Richard Gough (1735-1809) was an antiquary. Isaac Reed (1742-1807) was a Shakespearean editor and antiquary. Francis Douce (1757-1834) was an antiquary.
