Forty-four autograph letters and papers, chiefly written to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Civil Engineer (d. 1859), with a few to his father sir Marc I. Brunel, and to his son Isambard, arranged in chronological order, 1819-80. At fols. 1-7, 97-8, are letters and papers by dr. Isambard Brunel, the son, of Balliol college, Oxford, who presented the collection in May 1892. The letters are from:
