Biographical / Historical
John Payne Collier (1789-1883) was a Shakespearean scholar and forger, antiquary and journalist. Francis Douce (1757-1834) was an antiquary. Sir Henry Ellis (1777-1855) was a Knight and diplomat. Edward Du Bois (1774-1850) was a wit and man and letters. Edward Everett (1794-1865) was an American clergyman, diplomat and statesman.
