  1. P. 3. 'The principall thinges to be considered in the aunswer written [by Thomas Glover] to the Bussh. of Rosses booke', Lesley's on the Succession: beg. '1. That thinheritaunce of the Crowne.' After this art. 16 pages are lost
  2. P. 5. Notes on the Netherlands, imperfect at beginning: beg. 'The gouernement vnder the Duchesse of Parma. The kynge seynge this.'
  3. P. 19. Part of the Archeion of William Lambarde, omitting the account of the Star Chamber and of Parliament
  4. P. 40. 'A noate of som imperfections in the lawes of the realme ...': beg. 'Forasmuche as lawes oughte to be of convenyent certaintye.'
  5. P. 43. 'A breviate concerninge the ... Queenes ... Courtes of Recordes kepte in and about ... London and Westminster appertinent to the Common lawes of Englande': beg. 'The distribucion of the partes of this booke.'
  6. P. 54. A valuable account by an eye-witness of the examination of Mary queen of Scots at Fotheringhay, 12-15 Oct. 1586: beg. 'So sone as the Lordes here arryved three howres since': followed (p. 58) by 'The question ys whether yt were behovefull for her Maiestie to put the Scottes Queene to deathe': beg.   10. P. 88. A private account of the state, revenues, navy, etc. of Spain (1582): beg. 'The names of all the Archbusshops.' Pp. '100' to '121' contained in 1872 'memoranda made by Ann Warcupe' widow of the compiler of the volume: but have been cut almost completely out
