Biographical / Historical

Nicholas Garland (b. 1935) is a British political cartoonist. His son, Alex Garland (b. 1970), is a writer and filmmaker who rose to prominence in the late 1990s with his novel The Beach. The Coma was published in 2004 and illustrated by his father.
