Field Assistant, Edward Grey Institute, Oxford, 1958-1961. Senior House Officer, Watford General Hospital, 1963-1970. Medical Chief Officer, Royal Fleet Auxiliaries, British Navy, 1983-1991. Research Fellow, Aberdeen (Scotland) University, 1970-2004.
