Biographical / Historical

James Arscott Raleigh Bickford (1917-2009), consultant psychiatrist and medical superintendent, De La Pole Hospital, East Yorkshire, 1956-1981. Founder member of the East Riding branch of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England, 1967, and its president, 1991-2006.
