Sir Charles Harding Firth (1857-1936) was a historian. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The collection was given to the Library by Sir Charles, 1916-30, and his widow, 1936, except for MS. Firth d. 10, which was given to the Library in 1937.
