A collection of grey literature and bibliographical references arranged by species, with some negatives and photographs attached to pages with photo corners. The material was possibly compiled c 2000 but includes records and observations of birds dating from the 1960s onwards, along with correspondence and some copies and reprints of scholarly articles, 1878-c 1990s. Date ranges are given on the basis of correspondence, dated photographs and articles, and in the absence of these decade ranges are given on the basis of dated bird observations.

The papers are mainly in English but there is also a little material in Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.
