Abstract
Papers of Pater Ward (1934-1979), ornithologist, and Michael Fogden (fl 1963-present), research biologist, photographer and writer, relating to the Centre for Overseas Pest Research
Biographical / Historical
The Centre for Overseas Pest Control was formed in 1971, following the expansion of the remit of the Anti-Locust Research Centre to include more general aspects of pest management. In the early 1980s, it was amalgamated with the Tropical Products Institute to become the Tropical Development Research Institute, which in 1988 moved to Chatham and joined with the Land Resources Development Centre, becoming the Overseas Development Natural Resources Institute, which since 1990 has been known as the Natural Resources Institute.
