Papers of Richard A. Richardson (1922-1977), ornithologist and artist, 1936-1972.
Biographical / Historical
Richard Alan Richardson (1922-1977), ornithologist and artist. He was founder of the Cley Bird Observatory in Norfolk and president of the Holme Bird Observatory. His bird illustrations appeared in R.S.R. Fitter's books, The Pocket Guide to British Birds (1952) and The Pocket Guide to Nests and Eggs (1954).
An obituary of Richardson was published in British Birds 70: 541-543 (Dec 1977).
