Biographical / Historical
John Hugh Owen (1877-1959) was educated at Oswestry Grammar School and Jesus College, Oxford. He taught at Felsted School from 1907 to 1939. An obituary of Owen was published in British Birds, vol. 52, pp. 309-311 (1959).
