Abstract
Typescript entitled 'Dictionary of the Habits and Behaviour of Birds' by John Michael Dewar.
Biographical / Historical
John Michael Dewar, physician and ornithologist, was born in 1883 and educated at George Watson College and Edinburgh University. He was a Civilian Medical Doctor to the Royal Air Force and during World War II served as a temporary Assistant Physician at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary until his death in May 1941. His book, The Bird as a Diver, was published by H.F. & G. Witherby in 1924.
