Miscellaneous papers relating to the city of Lichfield and the neighbourhood, stated to have been collected by Thomas Harwood, a letter from whom, dated Jan. 9, 1829, is at fol. 43.
They consist of original documents, on parchment and paper, of all kinds; views and drawings, some coloured; and cuttings from newspapers, theatre bills and the like, ranging from 1545 to about 1853. The early documents are some Lichfield leases and agreements, and there are some letters in the volume, which is very roughly arranged in chronological order.
At fol. 37 is an interesting letter from J. Wren, Nov. 7, 1702, giving an account of the naval actions about Cadiz and Vigo from June 2 preceding.
(fol. 84) is mutilated.
