Custodial History

The letters were owned by John White, great-nephew of Sansome (see fol. 57): at his death they passed to J. W. Roake.

These are all printed in the Life of Sansome, and are here connected by a valueless account of the writer by J. W. Roake, draper of Newbury, who owned the letters in about 1840-1848.
