'A description of Heraldry ... Aug. 7, 1665. Tho: Crosthwaite e Coll. Reg. A: M: Oxon :', unsystematic notes from printed books.
A note by Edward Stibbs, Chester Herald 1721-1739 (whose armorial bookplate is in the volume), wrongly states that this book was made and written by dr. John Hudson, Bodley's Librarian (who may perhaps have owned it), and records that it was given to the writer in 1726, by his 'much esteemed friend W: L:.'
