'Liber Evangeliorum', an Evangeliarium 'in festis annualibus et solemnibus totius anni', written for the canons of the church of the Holy Sepulchre at Paris, as the following 'Annotatio' at p. 182 testifies : 'Sumptibus & impensis capituli secularis Ecclesiæ & collegiatæ Sanctissimi Dominici Sepulchri Parisijs fundatæ. Hunc Librum Euangeliorum, opera & studio Venerabilium DD. tunc temporis eiusdem Capituli, & Ecclesiæ sæcularis Canonicorum, scripsit Nicolaus le Roy Presbyter. Anno Domini Millesimo sexcentesimo quinquagesimo Octauo.'
There is an index and two added gospels.
Many words are accentuated, and pitch is indicated by a neumatic notation.
A 19th century note of doubtful authority runs 'This service book is from the Nunnery at Shetesbury [Shaftesbury] in Dorsetshire.'
