'An Account of James Hepburn Earl Bothwell ... after his flight from Scotland [in A.D. 1567, to Denmark]: written by command of Her ... [Danish] Majesty Queen Caroline Amelia by Thorl[leifr] Gudm[undson] Repp', who himself signs and dates the preface (June 20, 1846), cf. fol. 90v: all the rest is in a clerk's hand.
At fol. 87 is an appendix of documents copied from the Danish royal archives, partly (fol. 89) Latin correspondence between James vi of Scotland and Frederick ii of Denmark, 1567-1574, partly (fol. 119) letters from Charles Dancay ('Dantzay') to Henry iv of France, 1570-1573, in French, etc. Fols. ii-vii (loose in a flap) are copies of two Latin dispatches from qu. Elizabeth to Eric xiv king of Sweden, Oct. 8, 1565, and June 22, 1561, made in 1861.
