An armorial of Surrey families, based on the Visitation of 1623
An armorial of Surrey families, based on the Visitation of 1623. In all but a few cases the arms are given (almost always in trick), and in some cases pedigrees also: at fols. 108-133 are pedigrees with arms blazoned only. The only dates later than 1623 are:
- 1638 (fol. 86);
- 1642 (fol. 23);
- 1652 (fol. 121).
There is an alphabetical index of names.
Earlier in the 17th century the volume had been partly used as a Latin theological common-place book.
