'Mr Erdswick's Manuscript of Staffordshire', one of the numerous copies of Sampson Erdeswick's Account of Staffordshire. It begins with 'Trent hath the first Spring', and at p. 110 is a copy of sir Simon Degge's letter to George Digby, about Erdeswick's work, Feb. 20, 1669/70, less complete than as printed in Harwood's Erdeswick's Staffordshire (1844), pp. lv-lix, and dated 1673.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
This volume was in the Library in 1717, see preface to the first edition of the work, and MS. Rawl. B. 420a appears to be a copy of it made by dr. R. Rawlinson.
