'La Vie dAesope tiree des Anciens Autheurs. Par Monsieur [Claude Gaspard Bachet, sieur] de Meziriac': followed (fol. 21v) by an introduction to a French translation of the Fables from the Greek, beginning 'Aux Lecteurs. Il ny a nul doute' Meziriac died in 1638: probably the Life and Introduction are copied from the edition of Æsop published in 1646: if so, the latter is by Pierre Millot, the translator of the fables in that book.
