Immediate Source of Acquisition
'This Originall Scotch Covenant ... was given to the Bodleian Library by the honourable Generall Charles Rosse of Balnagoun, Anno Domini 1728. G[eorge] C[larke].' Dr. Clarke received it from gen. Rosse on June 8, 1728, for the purpose of presentation.
