'The Court of Kinge James by Sir A[nthony] W[eldon] Reviewed'
'The Court of Kinge James by Sir A[nthony] W[eldon] Reviewed' or, as dr. Barlow entitles it, 'An Answer to Sir Anthony Weldon by G[odfrey] Goodman, late Bishop of Glocester.' Weldon's book was published in 1650, but even the 2nd edition (1651) does not mention Goodman's vindication of the king, which was therefore probably written in 1651 or soon after.
The present volume is apparently a contemporary copy, corrected by the author (see pp. 7, 163, 275, etc.), who has also written 'Sr Lionel Cranfield' on p. 295. A different draft of the opening chapter is on pp. 293-4, 289-91. The whole treatise was printed by J. S. Brewer from this MS. in 1839.
