Custodial History
Manuscript 1056 acquired by the Bodleian Library
The Latin summulae capitum in elegiacs (begg. 'A priscis oritur') precede the printed text, and an English translation of the Psalms (and Canticles ?) follows, both in Edmund Willis's shorthand, and presumably by Herbert Jenkes, who presented the volume in 1627. The Latin description above is from the Benefactors' Register.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Herbert Jenkes presented the volume in 1627.
Physical Facet
The binding is black leather with gold ornament, English binding of about 1625: with silver clasp-fittings, but the clasps are lost
