Once, like MS. Auct. E. 1. 6, owned by Henry viii, whose arms are on fol. 1: by the same scribe as MS. Auct. F. 4. 12. Till A.D. 1599 it was apparently no. 98 among the New College MSS. At the Act of that year it was purloined by a visitor ('Deus nouit plagium, vlciscatur hominem' says dr. Thomas James, in the Ecloga Oxonio-Cantabrigiensis, 1600, p. 4).

In 1608 sir Thomas Bodley writes in the volume 'Donum Magistri Thomæ Alani Aulæ Glocestr. Oxon.', see Reliquiæ Bodleianæ, p. 232.
