Three pieces by st. Basil the Great and A Latin translation of a sermon by st. Cyril of Alexandria
- Fol. 12. Three pieces by st. Basil the Great: (fol. 12) Ππόσ παρέίνον έκπατουσαν ... (fol. 17) Πρός μονάζυντα έκπίσόντα: C (fol. 19) Πρόν 'Οπτίμκv έπίσκοπον περί τοv Πἄν ό àπokτείvas Κάιν, έπτà έkζιKούμενα παραλνσει ..., with a Latin translation of each by 'Johannes Morrennus' (fol. 11a).
- Fol. 38. A Latin translation of a sermon by st. Cyril of Alexandria 'de egressu animæ, & de secundo Aduentu 'Joanne Morino interprete'.
- Fols. 1-11 are occupied with a long letter from 'Joannes Morrenus' to his patron 'magister Roperus', apparently William Roper (d. 1578) the author of the Life of sir Thomas More. Morrenus or Morinus found the Basil in Greek in 'communis Collegij bibliothæca' (fol. 2v) and the Cyril (in Greek) was presented to him by his patron's daughter (fol. 10v). He mentions also an 'antiquissimum volumen Ignatij, quod in bibliothæca Magdalinensi iacet', in Greek: but these MSS. and the author, who was apparently a persecuted Protestant, are difficult to identify.
