Extracts from Winchester diocesan registers concerning the endowments of Hampshire churches, taken in 1821 from a 16th-century manuscript then in the possession of Charles Bowles of Shaftesbury, Dorset, with an index by Sir Thomas Phillipps on fols. i-ii.
The volume also contains:
- (fol. 79) copy of a 1634 glebe terrier of Folke, Dorset;
- (fols. 79v-82) notes on the endowment of Piddletrenthide, Dorset;
- (fols. 83-86) notes by Phillipps on the patrons of Berkshire churches;
- (fols. 87-90) list of the Browne Willis manuscripts in the Bodleian Library and extracts from catalogues of Rawlinson and Tanner manuscripts, early 19th century.
