Printed text, 'Ερμογένους περί ιδεών τόμοι δύο
Printed text, 'Ερμογένους περί ιδεών τόμοι δύο (Strasburg, 1955), with marginal annotations in Latin, interleaved with a Latin translation in the same hand, entitled 'Hermogenis de dicendi figuris sive formis', beg. 'Si quid est aliud oratori, in primis certe genera dicendi nosse, pernecessarium esse arbitror, quisnam eo rum sit habitus, et quo modo conficiantur. . .'.
The translation, completed on 19 August 1556 (fol. 248v), is written probably in one (North European) hand, in four different styles, including (fols. 55v-76v) a formal italic hand, and is possibly by Johann Sturm. The text closely resembles, but is not identical to, his translation, Rennogenis ... de dicendi genen·bus orationum libn II ([Strasburg], 1571).
