A roll of incantations and prayers consisting chiefly of three long lines, the first and third being incantations and prayers, and the middle one mostly excerpts from the four Sequentiae or Capitula from the Gospels, all in Latin. Above and below these are fanciful names of God and of spirits, the Tetragrammaton, etc., and figures and diagrams occur at intervals in all the lines, some containing weird forms of letters.

The wrapper is part of a parchment deed settling certain estates of sir William Cecil, earl of Salisbury (d. 1668), and mentioning Ashperton, Stretton Grandison, and Yarkhill, all in Herefordshire.
