Biographical / Historical
Charles Townshend (1725-1767) was an English politician and son of Charles Townshend, third Viscount Townshend, 1700-1764. His brother, George Townshend (1724-1807) 1st Marquess and 4th Viscount Townshend, was an English politician and caricaturist.
