Biographical / Historical
Alfred Fairbank (1895-1982) was a British calligrapher and author on handwriting. Edward Johnstone (1872-1944) was a British craftsman who is regarded as one of the fathers of modern calligraphy. Mervyn Oliver (1886-1958) was a British calligrapher and silversmith, and was taught by Edward Johnston.
