Charles Hornby (bap. 1670(?)-d/ 1739) was an English political pamphleteer and public servant.

Cock's, 3 Dec. 1739 (Hornby sale), lot 39; bookplate of J[ohn] D[isney]; Sotheby's, 22 April 1817 (Disney sale), lot 1562; bought by Sir Alexander Boswell; Sotheby's, 23 June 1893 (Auchinleck sale, property of Mrs. Julia Mounsey), lot 194, where it is said, probably in error, to have belonged to Sir J[ohn] Dalrymple; bought by Bertram Dobell.
