Papers and letters, 18th-19th century, relating to Thomas Chatterton, collected by E. H. W. Meyerstein, including:

  1. (fols. 1-2) sonnets by D. G. Rossetti, one about Chatterton
  2. (fols. 54-9) letter from Thomas Percy to Sir Robert Chambers, 1790, with related notes
  3. (fols. 61-3) contemporary copy of Chatterton's 'Elinour and Juga', with Meyerstein's notes

The volume formerly included the holograph manuscript of Chatterton's 'Heccar and Gaira', removed in 1812 from a manuscript which is now MS. Eng. poet. e. 6 (SC 29126), and restored to it in 1953.
