Biographical / Historical

Thomas Warton (1728-1790) was an English poet and historian. George Colman the elder (bap. 1732-d. 1794) was an Italian born playwright and theatre manager. Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (bap. 1689-d. 1762) was an English writer. Francesco Algarotti (1712-1764), Count Algarotti in the Prussian nobility, was an Italian poet and scholar. George Crabbe (1754-1832) was an English poet and Church of England clergyman. Thomas John Dibdin (1771-1841) was an English playwright and actor.
