Biographical / Historical
John O. Sykes (b. 1892) became Master of Method and Vice-Principal of Makerere College in Uganda in 1925 and regularly acted as Principal of the College. He was appointed Deputy Director of Education in Uganda Protectorate in 1939 and also became chairman of Kampala Township Authority and Censor for the Colony. He retired in 1946.
