J.K. Sweeney served in Tanganyika as a medical officer, [1950-1965]. In 1962 he was Senior Medical Officer, Tanga Region. His final posting was as Principal Medical Officer/Medical Superintendent, [Mubimbili] Hospital, Dar-es-Salaam.
