Sketchbook, 1841-7, Trier in Germany, at sea in the Mediterranean off Greek islands and the Morea, Malta, Bramshill (Hants.), Arreton (Isle of Wight), Aldworth (Berks.), Mapledurham (Oxon.), Calke Abbey and elsewhere in Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Wing (Bucks.), and St. Albans (Herts.), including Roman and prehistoric ruins, churches, houses, and architectural features, with:
- (front endpaper, fols. 1, 12v-13) prehistoric British bronze weapons
- (fol. 10) a water-colour of a palace in Cairo(?)
- (fol. 10v) a sketch map of southern Greece and neighbouring islands
- (fol. 15) a water-colour of prehistoric ruins on Gozo by R.A. Oliver, Oct. 1843.
