Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879), nee Pattle, was a portrait photographer. Her work was often allegorical in nature.
Purchased by the vendor's father at a sale of the contents of Halstead Place, Kent in the 1940s.

Purchased in 2017. Lot 20 in Bonhams' Fine Books, Atlases, Manuscripts and Photographs sale held 15 Nov 2017, London.
