Abstract
Photographs of the King's African Rifles
Biographical / Historical
Thomas Neville Buck was born in 1931 and educated at the City of London School and the University of Strathclyde. He joined the Army in 1955 and was a member of the 2nd Battalion, King's African Rifles, until 1964. The Battalion was part of the Federal Army of Rhodesia and Nyasaland from 1959 until 1962.
After leaving Africa Buck worked in various personnel and training posts in Germany and the UK, retiring from the Army in 1986 with the rank of Colonel. He subsequently worked as a property manager in London for 13 years. He died in 2018.
