Abstract
Juvenile periodical of Frederick Haines.
Biographical / Historical
The identity of Frederick Haines is unknown but information from the sales catalogue suggests two possible candidates: Frederick Haines (1819-1909), later a Field-Marshall in the British Army, whose dates almost match the author's, on the basis of the juvenile hand; or Frederick Haines, son of the artist William Haines, who became a Shakespeare scholar and Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in the mid 19th century.
