Two albums of photographs of Hong Kong, mainland China, including Peking, Canton and Macao, and the Cocos Islands created by Alfred H. Laing, circa 1901-1906. With some loose photographs, drawings, two postcards and one letter to Laing. The photographs show buildings and street scenes in Hong Kong and mainland China, landscapes, the effects of a typhoon in Hong Kong in 1906, individuals and social gatherings.

Alfred H. Laing (fl. 1901-1912) was an assistant at Butterfield and Swire, the Far Eastern trading company, based at their Hong Kong office in the early 1900s.
