Abstract

Autograph album and loose papers of Eleanora Reay, 1785-1839.

Biographical / Historical

Eleanora Reay was the daughter of George Hargreave of Hoddlesdon Hall in Haslingden, Lancashire. She married Stephen Reay in 1832. He became a sub-librarian at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. She died in 1861, just 19 days before her husband.
