Biographical / Historical
Godfrey Eccleston Boyd Shannon (1907-89) was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge. He served on a United Kingdom delegation for various international conferences between 1944 and 1948, including one in Moscow. He was the United Kingdom's Deputy High Commissioner in Calcutta from 1952 to 1956 and most of the records relate to that period.
